FREE Kids Summer Lunch Programs in LA are BACK! The school year has ended and summer has arrived. Not only do you need to find things to keep your little rugrats busy, but you have to keep them fed as well.

Several organizations are there to help you through those summer days with free summer lunch programs for kids. These programs aim to provide nutritious meals to children who may not have access to healthy food during the summer months when school is out.These programs are testament to the city’s commitment to promoting health and wellness among its residents, especially its youngest citizens.

Below is a list of our favorites.

Los Angeles County Libraries- Well Fed, Well Read

This summer, kids and teens 18 and under can enjoy FREE lunch at participating LA County Library locations.

Meals are available on a first come, first served basis from June 12 – August 4 during the hours of 12 – 1 pm, either Mon – Fri or Tue – Fri, depending on the location (see schedule).

Please note that free meals must be eaten at the Library.

There are no restrictions on family income to receive a free lunch. We hope to see you this summer!

Since 2015, LA County Library has been offering free, nutritious lunches. Lunch at the Library keeps children nourished during the summer months, helping to ensure that they return to school in the fall energized and ready to learn.

Inglewood Public Library- Free Summer Lunch Program @ the Crenshaw-Imperial Branch

For youth 18 & under (runs from 6/12 – 8/18)

The City of Inglewood Parks, Recreation & Community Services Dept. in partnership with IPL is now offering LUNCH @ the Crenshaw-Imperial Branch, (M – TH) from 12:30 – 1:30 PM (Lunch) & 3:30 – 4 PM (Snack). LA City Parks- Free Summer Lunch & Snacks

FREE food, friends and fun! Kids and teens can get Free lunches all summer long. The City oF Los Angeles Department of Recreation & Parks offers FREE lunches to youth ages 1 to 18* at over 100 parks starting June 13 to Aug 4, 2023

Long Beach Unified School District’s- Summer Food Service Program

Free breakfast and lunch will be provided to eligible children enrolled in School Age Care or WRAP at 34 locations as part of the Long Beach Unified School District’s Summer Food Service Program.
