17th-annual: MORE THAN 500 kids expected in Justin Rudd’s “Great American 4th of July Kids Bike Parade” presented by Rudd’s nonprofit 501c3 “Community Action Team (CAT).”
• Kids patriotic speech contest, 9:40 a.m., free, register on-site• Kids patriotic costume contest, 9:50 a.m., free, register on-site• Bike parade, all ages, 10 a.m., free
– Bike Parade will start at the Granada Ave. boat launch ramp and head east down the bike path, cross the street at Ocean Blvd., and continue south on 54th Place and Bay Shore Drive, then U-turn at Second Street. 54th Place and Bay Shore Drive are closed to vehicles that morning. www.BikeParade.com
